A Bus Tour to Budapest
Talking about how beautiful and romantic Budapest is is a clich. However, when a person finds him/her on the cobblestone of Buddha, near the Danube River or on the large, aristocratic streets of Pest, the clich appears and fills with meaning and color. But Budapest offers much more than aesthetic pleasure.
If you use the bus tour, you will know that your accommodation is ensured. The city offers different options for accommodation for the fans of cheap tourism and for the supporters of luxury. The prices vary depending on the season and the number of tenants.
If you love museums and galleries, you will not be disappointed from Budapest. Along with the traditional museums, such as the Hungarian National Museum and the Museum of History of Budapest, there you will also find the Museum of the Marks, of Military History, Music History, Aviation, Milling Industry, Sport, Criminology, Flags, Telephone and Transport. Here we will focus in detail on three of the museums.
During your bus tour you should visit the Museum of Fine Arts in Pest. It impresses with the wealth of ancient collections of Egyptian, Greek and Roman art works of 19-20 century. You will see originals of Rembrandt, El Greco, Goya, Rubens and more. A great part of the exhibits of the museum were collected by one of the most influential aristocratic families in the country. Along with the permanent exhibitions there are also temporary.
The other part to visit during your bus trip should be The Hungarian National Gallery, which is located at the Royal Castle in Buda. The gallery contains monumental ruins of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, Gothic wood sculptures, late Gothic altars, Renaissance and Baroque art, painting and sculptures from 19-20 century.
On your bus tour to Budapest, you should not miss also the memorial museum of Franz Liszt on Vorosmaty Street, on the first floor in the old Academy of Music, where the composer lived between 1881 and 1886. Here you can see his original instruments, furniture, books and personal belongings. If you like classical music, visit the museum on Sunday, when there is always a concert.
You will be amazed by the whole wonderful city. It is a great experience to walk on one of the great bridges of the Danube River that connects Buddha with Pest. The sight is even more fantastic when some ferry passes while you are on the bridge. In Buddha you will also see the beautiful castles, some of which are now renovated. Do not miss the Parliament Building that will enchant you with its ornaments and size. On the streets of the Hungarian capital you will also see many wonderful sculptures that make the city historical and unforgettable.
