A Card Trick That Makes Changes The Color Of Your Card Magically.

With just some practice everyone can pull off this card trick

. At first, like most tricks it will seem a little confusing and awkward but after running through it a couple times it will become second nature, very smooth and leave your audience scratching their heads.

Item you will need to get through this trick:

Make sure you have one deck of cards that has a blue back and another deck of cards that has a red back and they both are the same sized cards. Select ten cards, five from the red deck and five from the blue deck, it does not matter what cards you get out.

To start off:

What you do is group together different cards until you have one red then one blue and so on making five pairs of opposite cards. Show the cards, number and all, to your friends and be sure to hide the red and black backs from them. An audience member now has to select one of the cards in your hand by pointing to it. Now remove the selected card from the group of cards and put it on display facing up for everyone to see. Remember to keep track of where you took the card out and put the cards that came before it in your right hand and the rest in your left hand. While you have dropped the selected card onto the table no one will be paying attention to your hands so that is when you can put the right hand cards under the cards in your left hand. Keeping the back of the cards hidden is a must.

The magic happens:

Now comes the artful part of the trick. Even though there are some cards with red backs and some with blue, the people must believe that they all have the same colored backs. To create this illusion, after you have moved the right hand cards behind the left hand cards, make sure all the cards are tightly stacked. All cards have their pictures facing up not their backs. Display the back of the cards by flipping over the one single card at the top of the pile. Now you can proclaim, "All cards have the same backing color." While saying this reveal the back of the pile of cards in your left hand have the same color backing. Ask them if they believe that their card has changed color and place both the top card and those in your left hand in separate bunches in front of them.

The trick is to make the color change so if they chose a card with a blue back tell them that it has now magically become red. Flip it over to uncover the secret. Miraculously the chosen card has changed color. Astonishing!

My thoughts in closing:

As long as you practice this trick a few times and make sure that you stack the deck carefully without revealing the back sides too soon this trick will amaze your audience. Remember the color the people chose remains the color on the back of the card. It wont make a difference if they choose either colored card. You put the cards back into their sequenced order when the left cards were put in front of the right ones.
