Apple are soon to release the highly anticipated iPhone 4

Thanks to Apple incorporating the same A4 chip that is fitted in the now famous iPad, along with a larger capacity battery, the user will see marked improvements in the battery life of the handset. The better power management of this chip means that talktime is increased by 40% to over 7 hours, up to 6 hours of 3G browsing and over 40 hours of audio playback. What the A4 chip also offers is a speedy user experience, apps load incredibly quickly without any time lag and generally the phone is a joy to use. The handset will be available with two different memory sizes, the 16GB option will suffice the general phone user but the 32GB option will be favoured by those looking to exploit the phones excellent multi media facilities. The most eye catching of these features is the devices ability to capture 720P High Definition video footage. Doing so at a rate of 30 frames per second, this facility brings the iPhone bang up to date with the host of high definition laptops, televisions and cameras currently available. A secondary camera is installed on the front of the phone. The focal depth of this camera has been optimised to work at arms length, meaning it is ideal for self portraits, or indeed for taking advantage of "Face Time", Apples twist on video calling. The phones iMovie function gives the user a host of options once they have actually shot some footage, allowing the footage to be combined with photographs and music along with titles and other features, resulting in your own mini movie.

Connectivity options on the iPhone 4 are extensive. WiFi is once again included to give the best results when connected to your own router or network. When on the move however there are plenty of options to ensure that you can always stay up to date. 3G, GSM and Edge are all supported, ensuring the phones excellent internet facilities, e mail and apps can always be used to their maximum potential. With regards to local connectivity, Bluetooth 2.1 allows you to connect to compatible products without the need for wires. A 3.5mm headphone jack means that a whole range of headphones can be used with the phone.

The iPhone 4 looks set to take the market by storm upon its release, and quite rightly so. The gorgeous looks, great screen and superb functionality make this the handset to own, and leaves other manufacturer scratching their heads and wondering which direction to go next.
