A Closer Look At The Amazing New Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo

With more and more similar looking mobile phones being released into the marketplace, it has become increasingly important for new model to stand out from the crowd. The Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo does this by sporting a gorgeous look but not at the expense of features or performance.

Size wise, it would be hard to better the Neo. Weighing in at just 126 Grammes, it is one of the lightest handsets available, and coupled with the overall measurements of 116 x 67 x 13mm ensures that the phone not only sits nicely in the palm of your hand but also feels comfortable. Image quality is great thanks to a good standard 3.7 inch screen. Using LED backlit LCD technology, this display offers good image reproduction on photographs, and ensures websites and displays are full of detail. At 480 x 854 pixels the resolution is higher than the majority of phones available, and pushes this model up there with the likes of the iPhone 4 and the Samsung Galaxy S2 in terms of quality. Multi touch input is supported by the display, which also incorporates a proximity sensor and accelerometer chip. Running on the Android operating system, the handset uses the 2.3 version in conjunction with the manufacturers own Timescape user interface which simplifies how the phone both looks and works. Extensive media features are available on this phone that include dual cameras, with the main unit able to capture 8 mega pixel photographs in addition to 720P high definition video footage. Not only does this look great on the phones screen, but thanks to an HDMI port can be easily viewed on your own home television.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo is the perfect handset for mobile web browsing, not only because of the large, high quality screen but also thanks to the excellent connectivity options on offer. 3G connection enables the very best exchange speeds outside of WiFi, thus if you are on the move, you should still experience a great online service. This system is backed up by both EDGE and GPRS which offer similarly good speeds. When you can access a personal network, then WiFi does off the most complete service, with all three current speeds all supported. The Neo operates at a very quick pace thanks to a 1Ghz, the phone however does off little in the way of in built storage capacity at just 330MB. The manufacturers have however included a micro SD card slot capable of accepting cards up to 32GB, and supplied an 8GB card with the phone which should prove plenty for the average user.

The Xperia Neo merges great looks together with some really nice features, with the result being a phone that surpasses all expectations in terms of performance and is easy on the eye.
