A Day Out At The Norfolk Golf Club - A Perfect Day For Perfect Golfer
An ideal day out at the Norfolk Golf Club starts with a quick drink in the sports bar
. Then its off to the links to tee off at the appointed time.
You get a choice of courses, whether you pick the Valley course or the Hill course. Both designed by legendary golf architect Frank Pennink, both presenting their own personalities and problems.
So the question is water features and a bit of valley cover; or the challenge of teeing off in the breezes coming up the hills?
Of course the Norfolk golf club, indeed any golf clubs with a choice of courses, is perfect for the golfer who likes to remain challenged, to mix and match, to perfect different aspects of his or her game according to the needs of the moment. And after the round has finished, theres always the Spa and fitness club to consider or the bar and restaurant, where the tissues can be restored and the holes discussed at leisure.
Like most golf clubs, the Norfolk golf club is open to members and to friends of members described by the course as Members guests. As a Members guest, you are naturally afforded all the courtesy and welcome given to regular players. But you must adhere to club dress codes and play according to club rules. No slow play is permitted again as with many clubs, you may be asked to move over and let the next tee come through if your own game is slowing up.
Both hill and valley courses at the Norfolk golf club are par 3, 4 or 5 for all holes. Tee times are applied for when booking, so make sure you have your diary to hand when you make the call.
The course offers packages for games and meals, too each package delivering a different kind of meal and golf combination. Theres a snack style package, an 18 hole round followed by a baguette and a pint in the bar; theres a breakfast, followed by 18 holes of golf, followed by the Dish of the Day in the restaurant; or theres a similar package but with unlimited golf sandwiched in the middle.
The Norfolk golf club charges different prices during weekdays and at weekends so a day out on the course can be quite cost effective on Monday through Friday. The course also provides facilities for twilight visitors (visiting after 4pm during the summer months).
The Norfolk golf club has plenty of facilities for the non-golfer too. Health, fitness, relaxation all perfect for a day out, or even a weekend break. And thats important where the family wants a holiday in a beautiful hotel; but where not everyone involved is a golfer!
