Arthur Amiotte has received numerous awards: International Arts, Lila Wallace Reader's Digest Artists at Giverny, France Fellowship, a Getty Foundation Grant, a Bush Leadership Fellowship (1981), the South Dakota Governors Award for Outstanding Creative Achievement in the Arts; and The Lifetime Achievement Award as Artist and Scholar from the Native American Art Studies Association (1999), Bush Artist Fellowship (2002).
