Vinegar has been used for centuries in home remedies. This particular form of vinegar is used in skin care as an astringent.
Dilute some apple cider vinegar in water and then test it on a patch of skin. If need be, make the solution stronger.
Tea Tree Oil
This oil is known worldwide for its many properties. It is used to treat illnesses such as dandruff, Candidiasis, and has even been known to fight off acne bacteria.
When using tea tree oil, you must first dilute it or you can cause contact dermatitis. Tea tree oil is a powerful ingredient so you may need to use an oil-free moisturizer since it can dry out your skin.
Other Home Remedies
Another home remedy involves the application of strawberries or fresh mint leaves. Or, if you'd like, you can also try using lemon juice diluted in water to help control acne symptoms.
And don't forget, if you're treating acne, toothpaste is also a very common home remedy for acne. Of course, you should not use it for severe acne. But, many people have said that applying a small dab on an isolated pimple reduces redness and inflammation.
Acne home remedies are convenient, but sometimes your skin condition requires something more powerful. For example, hormonal acne may require professional intervention so it would be helpful to keep this in mind when looking for an acne home remedy that is right for you.
