A Fishing Vessel From Korea Sank At The South Pole

A Korean fishing vessel with 42 people sank in the south pole sea area

,According to the lastest news: at present , there are 5 people died , 17 people are missing and 20 people are surviving.

AFP reported that a Korean fishing vessel with 42 people sank in the south pole sea area.And the New zealand Maritime Department comfirmed that there are at least 4 people died , 18 people are missing and 20 people are surviving . This message is comfirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Korea .

The lastest News from KST : Korea time at 4.am on December 13rd ,the fishing Vessel DiYiRenCheng which is working at the south New zealand south pole sank.

This Fishing Vessel picked up 42 passengers including 8 Korean. 20 people survived , 5people died and among them ,there are 2 korean died, 17 people missed and included 5 korean. But the message is not comfirmed by Korea.


The korea indicated that another vessel which is nearing the DiYiRenCheng starting to search and save .

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Korea said that there were 8 Chinese , 11 Indonesia , 11 Vietnamese , 3 Philippines and a Ruassian, except the 8 Korean on the vessel .

Introduced by the maritime police , after the accident happened , 5 boat worked near the south sea where the fishing vessel was , started to save the people . At the end of the time 11 oclock in the morning , there were 20 people are saved included 1 Korean .

The maritime police also said that the HongZhen fishing vessel which was working near the DiYiRenCheng found it was sinking ,and then called the Pusan maritime police.

The Rescue Coordination Center New Zealand was advised about 1 p.m. Monday of the sinking of the South Korean owned and operated No.1 In Sung, which reportedly sunk at 6.30 a.m. New Zealand local time, the New Zealand stuff. co.nz news website reported.

The 20 survivors and 5 deceased were now on board the fishing vessel No. 707 HongZhen.

However, the search has been scaled back with three Korean vessels looking for the missing crew members as two New Zealand ships have stopped searching.

It is not known what caused the vessel, which is 58 meters long, to sink or why no distress communication was received prior to it sinking.

The Korean Ambassador to New Zealand demands New Zealand government to make a good cooperation to save the people as soon as possible.

And we all hope that the passenger on that fishing vessel can all be saved and safe.
