A Football Betting System That Works
To tell you the truth, there are very few "systems" out there that make people money. However, there is one system that I have discovered that makes a big difference to your football gambling. It's a three-step approach that pays dividends. Give it a go.1. ContextIn football, probably more than in any other sport, the context counts for everything. Who wants it most is the question you need to be asking - and that really isn't at all obvious until you've got a grasp of each team's situation. Let's take the example of a home side who have been relegated, taking on a side who are chasing a European place. Now, normally, you would say that the away side "want" it most, but all too often, they lose. Why? Because of the context - the home side may not be the better of the two sides, but they have nothing left to lose, so they have relaxed. This is why the first thing you should be looking for is the context of each team. Are they drifting? Are they on the charge? Do they have an urgent requirement to win this specific game? Another example might be when a popular manager resigns: these are things that can motivate sides to go one step better - and defeat the odds.2. ContestThere are two things here: past between the two teams, and history between teams who play in a similar manner. Bear with me... firstly, look at the past meetings between the two teams you are analysing. You will find patterns were poor sides beat good sides relatively often - they're named bogey sides, and it happens very often indeed. Sunderland, for example, haven't beaten Everton for what seems like centuries. Even when Everton are on a bad run, you can count on them beating Sunderland. Why? Bogey side. It's not as if Everton are that much better, it's also not as if Everton are in form: it's that Everton have the psychological advantage. Also, consider the intricacies of each side: does one team have trouble against a team that pack the middle of the park? Do they have problems with sides that play attacking wing backs? Analyse defeats, and you may also see patterns that could dictate the contest, giving you the edge over the bookmakers.3. ContrastNow you have to contrast the two sides and ask yourself: is something missing? Bookmakers often forget about the impact of one player - and how the loss of that player can affect the team. This is why it's folly to bet on a game until you know exactly who is playing - how can you compare and contrast the two teams unless you know that starting elevens? Your opportunity lies here - look for sides that rely on one or two players, and if they're not playing - capitalise. Spurs without Van der Vaart, for example, are less of a force. Everton without Mikel Arteta (or even, with a poor Mikel Arteta) do not have the drive to overcome average sides, and Liverpool (pre-Dalglish Mark II) were awful without Gerrard and Torres. These 3 steps will help you with your soccer gambling big time - context, contest and contrast have always proved useful for me, and have not just won me money in the past, they've saved me money.
