Trust alone works here. Trust, like love, is constructive instead of destructive. Emotional dependence strengthens relationships and civilizations and avoids conflict and war. Distrust breeds fear and brings its own destruction. Trust, like love, appears to be inadequate but it is the only effective solution. It is its own defense.
