A Goodbye To Remember From The Er Episodes
The season finale of the fifth season of ER episodes came with a bitter sweet feeling for the magnanimous fan-following of this phenomenal show
. Even though the fact that the show was ending, came as a shocker to its fans across the globe, this dark cloud was chockablock with silver linings, since it happened to be one of the most unforgettable episodes of the show. This goodbye episode did complete justice to the enormity of the show, by stirring the deepest emotions of the viewers.
Its definitely worth it to download ER to watch this particular episode, which was titled, And in the End. The episode came as a bonanza for the fans of the show, since it was a two hour long episode, and managed to re-live all the significant aspects of the show, leaving the viewers satiated, and as always, in awe. What stood out most about the show was its similarity to the pilot episode. The similarities between these two episodes could not go unnoticed, and were actually spectacular, and ended up in making the shows exit a truly memorable one.
The episode, like the shows pilot episode, was spread over the events taking place in the ER over a 24- hour period, starting and ending at 4 a.m. The events were the perfect blend of humor and gravity. The plot was brilliantly structured, which explains why millions of fans still download or
watch ER online, to experience its magnificence. There are many starking similarities that one notices in the finale of ER and its early episodes.
An early scene of the finale mirrored the opening scene of the pilot, with the same nurse Lydia Wright waking up Dr. Archie Morris and Dr. Mark Greene in both episodes respectively. Furthermore, Dr. John carter demonstrated to Rachel Greene how to start an IV in the exact same way as Dr. Peter Benton demonstrated to him in the pilot. If youre an ardent follower of the
ER episodes, youll also notice that the comedy scene in which a child swallowed a Rosary also bore a reflection of a similar scene in the pilot in which a child had swallowed a key.
If you download ER to watch its finale, youll be surprised to know that the opening scene of the finale, which showed Dr.Tony Gates treat a teenage girl who had gone into coma due to alcohol poisoning, that occurred with her playing drinking games with her peers, was actually inspired by a real life incident. This incident was the shocking death of producer John Wells 17-year-old niece in December 2008, which occurred as a result of alcohol poisoning. The scene was one of those brilliantly shot ones that still entice audiences to watch ER from their collections, or online.
