A Guide To The Design And Specifications Of Cheap Tractors

Cheap tractors on the market today come in many shapes

, sizes, brands and specifications. Many features and specifications remain the same across all brands and makes, but there are differences that make certain cheap tractors suitable for certain types of work when others are less suitable. The range of tractors available today runs from compact utility tractors which are used to landscape gardens and maintain small plots of land, to the eight-wheel drive tractors that are a common sight on large farms and agricultural businesses. All of these tractors, whatever their size, will commonly run on diesel fuel as this tends to be the most economical and the most convenient fuel for powering machinery of this kind. The engine sizes, however, vary. Most tractors will have either a synchronised or continuously variable transmission system, although older tractors will commonly make use of a manual transmission system. Modern tractors transmit power from the engine to the attached equipment via a drawbar or a hitch system. The equipment attached to a modern tractor can include front end loaders, corn planters, rakes, tillers and harvesters. Older tractors used a plough to work the land and this was attached to the main body of the tractor using a drawbar. This was often a simple steel bar that connected the tractor and the plough. This meant that the plough could be taken off and replaced easily. The tractor could therefore be used for different purposes without much effort on the part of the operator. But in order for the plough or other piece of equipment to work it required its own wheels and often there had to be a lifting mechanism in order to keep the equipment clear of the ground, particularly when it was not in use. The simple drawbar system was not always the easiest to use, as it was often hard to move the equipment and this created strain on the tractor.

In modern tractors the equipment is sometimes mounted directly onto the tractor. This is the case for front-end loaders and other similar equipment. The benefits of this method are more stability, but the equipment is generally going to be more difficult to remove from the tractor. Sometimes a three-point hitch and a hydraulic lift is used to mount equipment to a tractor this is one of the most popular ways to attach implements to a tractor as it is convenient and simple.
