A Look At Nokias C6 Handset

The new Nokia C6 is an attractive handset in a slider style design

. Thanks to its great connectivity and applications the handset will undoubtedly appeal to social networking fans.

Let start by taking a look at the design of the Nokia C6. In its closed state the phone looks very sleek and attractive. Measuring 113 x 53 x 16.8mm, the phone is a compact enough design, and these dimensions benefits from some very neat curved edges and a minimalist look which gives us just three very slimline buttons on the front of the handset. The screen on the Nokia C6 has some very impressive specification. The 3.2" display offers a superb resolution of 360 x 640 pixels and and shows an outstanding 16 million colours. This means everything on screen looks great, whether it be the detail on a web page or clarity from movie playback. The screen is a resistive touch screen a hides a proximity sensor which turns off the screen when you hold it to your ear to make a call, eliminating accidentally pressing buttons. An accelerometer chip is also featured for auto rotate functions. With a screen of this quality you could argue that a separate keypad is not necessary, however for all the messaging fans, thanks to the C6's horizontal slider design, the unit packs an impressive full Qwerty keypad. The buttons are well spaced out and the handset is comfortable enough in the palm of your hand. When the phone is held horizontally, the screen gives impressive 16:9 widescreen performance.

The Nokia C6 is a great handset for social networking. This is thanks to the customisable homescreen, which allows you to put your Twitter and Facebook widgets on there, and they will automatically give you a live feed of status updates, preventing the need for you to log in to see whats going on. Your own status updates can also be updated quickly and easily from here. Connectivity is vital for such features, and luckily the C6 benefits from an impressive array of options. Whilst on the move the user will benefit from 3G, EDGE and GPRS facilities, and whilst at home a wise move has been taken to include WiFi, resulting in the fastest internet experience. Local connectivity is also well catered for with Bluetooth and micro USB both included. The Nokia C6 boasts a great quality digital camera, capable of capturing images in a high quality 5 million pixels. With the addition of an LED flash and autofocus, there is never any need to take a poor quality photograph again.

The C6 is an impressive smartphone from Nokia, offering users superb connectivity coupled with a great quality screen. The excellent Qwerty keypad is another attraction on this phone which is bound to attract many fans on its release.
