This feature can also be used to add freeze-frame style shots to your videos.

This way, you can hold down the button when trying to capture an action shot, and release it when you are ready. Then, simply browse through all the photos which were taken, and delete the ones you dont need, and keep the perfect picture you have taken, which you can of course then go on to share via MMS, Facebook, Twitter etc, and also stream wirelessly to a compatible TV using DLNA, or HTCs Media Link. This allows you to mirror the handsets on screen content on a TV, so you can even stream wireless HD videos in real time.
