The family tradition ended there when none of the sons of Paul Andr accepted to take over the responsibilities of the company.

In the year 1963, Paul Andr sold the watch making company to a young watchmaker and goldsmith, Karl Scheufele. When the company came under his supervision and management, it added jewelry section and Chopard watches ladies section to its collection. He is still the president of the company. His children are co-presidents of the firm. Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele is his daughter and she is the head of both high jewelry and ladies watch collections departments. Karl Friedrich Scheufele, son of the president is the head of gents watch section and Chopard Manufacture where L.U.C. movements of the company are manufactured.

The Chopard watches collections have contributed to more than just fashion and horology. Their contributions to charity cannot be ignored, especially their participation in the fight against AIDS with honorable Sir Elton John. The company has simply dedicated an entire watch collection in the name of him.
