With the majority of teenagers using cell phones for a lot of purpose it has been noticed that love stories bloom and shatter just with an SMS. In a survey conducted the result stated that 25% of people start flirting with someone through text messages. People flirt with text messages because that is the most convenient way of communication. Also text messages do not cost a lot of money as compared to phone calls. With text messaging schemes chatting through messages has become a common phenomenon.

There have been a lot of break off cases in the past and hence it is not something strange if a boy and girl decide to end their year old or month old relationship with a text. People love chatting with the help of text messages because it is fun and easy to stay in touch with each other. If break off can happen with text messages then fights and rivalry too can be resolved with the help of text messages. A very famous example of break off through text message is that of the famous Hollywood star Jennifer Aniston in the year 2008. At that time the star sent a message to her boyfriend stating that is the end. This shows it just takes one text to end a precious relationship.

People who do not trust their partner often check their cell phones out of suspicion. They check their inbox and spy whether they chat with unknown people. Also they check their call log so as to have track on who their partners called. All this suspicious behavior many a times leads to the end of relationship. In a relationship trust is the most important factor and if that itself vanishes then there is no point to continue.

Text messages indeed play a vital role in breaking relationships today because it makes the process simple. With text messages there is no space for any confrontations whereas, face to face conversations could lead to severe conflicts. Partners today have indeed taken a short cut route for ending relationships. The survey also stated that 11% of people were asked to go out on a date with the help of text message. This research which was carried out by the popular cell phone website i.e. Recombu.com stated that texting has indeed become an integral part of communication today and one cannot stop people from texting.

One of the reasons behind the popularity of SMS is cell phones as both are interrelated to each other. Technology is indeed opening new ways for relationships because it either leads to success or failure.
