Trainee: Can you please brief on medical assistant and its training?

Trainer: Medical assistant, as clears to name, assist medical staff in hospitals, clinics and other health care facilities. As far as its course contents are considered, one will be studying areas like medical terminology, computers skills, insurance formalities, office practices (medical laws, patient relations), medication, laboratory technique and pharmaceutical principles. The course duration depends on the institute and the level opted, the completion may take one to two years.

Trainee: In most of the careers, students are required to obtain after graduation certification and license. What about medical assistant, do they required it too? If they do, are they offered by training centers?

Trainer: Not necessarily, but having it means, securing good income in future. Training institutes have nothing to do with, once has to get it from AAMA or AMT.

Trainee: What are the future prospectus i.e. salary, job scope, etc.?

Trainer: The demand for these medical assistants is booming and department of labor of United States recently declared that before 2018s national calendar; country needs roughly 163,000 more of these experts. Hence, joining a course means, securing your future. Moving on to salary aspects, salary varies with experience and location served, but on an average you will be earning of $25000 to $33050 per annum.
