. Many sites are separated by tens of miles. How can managerial staff adequately know what the staff at the remote locations is doing? The answer is to have a CCTV installation at each site. The CCTV system can transmit video over the Internet to the main office and provide the ability for the managerial staff to monitor all of the activities at the remote sites.

Modern CCTV systems have the ability to access the Internet. This accessibility permits the manager of several remotely located stores to monitor those stores from the home office. This remote monitoring can be utilized in performance evaluations of employees, determination of traffic flow in the store and potentially the flow of traffic outside of the store. This data is transmitted in real time and without the knowledge of the employees or the customers in the store.

Without the ability to remotely monitor locations, the manager of the stores will never know which store is understaffed which consequently leads to customer dissatisfaction due to slow service. Remote monitoring permits the manager to utilize available floating staff to rapidly move from location to location.

A CCTV installation will reduce the amount of shoplifting that goes on in any store. The ability to remotely monitor the store provides management the opportunity to view the day to day operations of the store without being physically present in the store. A reduction in shoplifting, increased customer satisfaction and the ability to identify underperforming employees will make the profit margin of each store increase.
