A Review Of Venues In St Albans
St Albans has 58 venues halls and function rooms and as such is full of choice
. I am well placed to comment on St Albans specifically as I am from this fine town.
St Michaels Manor is one of the grandest, offering wedding and conference packages to make guests go oooh. Its a large impressive building with historical significance so its a good conversation point. Further down the road there are some really nice pub and restaurant venues that have private function room facilites for smaller more intimate does. This end of town has some nice features too like an old mill and a pavement originally installed to make it easy to dismount your horse.
Another interesting venue is the famous Batchwood hall, not necessarily an ideal wedding venue as it usually goes as a nightclub but its different. It is currently a golf club, tennis club and nightclub but used to be a stately home so the architecture is like no nightclub you have seen before. Its a great club venue and I have personally spent many a night on the dance floor in my youth. A good choice for a large music venue in St Albans or Hertfordshire.
The history of St Albans provides it with many beautiful venues, full of character and charm but it doesnt end there. Churches like Hatfiled Rd Methodist can provide something you may not have considered. With large spaces available for low prices you can't ignore them as an option. They may not be the most beautiful or engaging designs but they are great choices for practicality, usually being outside of the town centre which means that parking is far less of an issue.
St Albans is a large town and therefore has a great choice for everyone. It doesn't matter if your budget is sky high for St Michaels Manor or a more down to earth amount that can get you a great community centre, I promise you there is enough choice for all events..
On a final note there are several good towns around St Albans that can also provide good choice and value for venues. Its worth looking at Harpenden which is a wealthier area, Redbourn which is a nice little village between Harpenden and St Albans or Hatfield which is less glamorous but well equipped and connected with top notch conference facilities and a uni.
