A Secret To Divine Healing Revealed by:Mark Replogle
I'm sick, or dying
I'm sick, or dying. Nobody can help me now...Can they?
Many of you are suffering from a physical, mental, or emotional illness right now. Some of you have been suffering for quite some time now. You have prayed to be healed and nothing has happened. You now question whether healing by faith is possible today.
So what's in this for me?
In the grand scheme of time, the 1950s through 1970s was just a day ago. During that time in America, Kathryn Kuhlman (born 1907, died 1976) was the best known faith healer. If you read of her or her works, you will discover that many people who were healed through her ministry doubted faith healing as being available for them.
Those same people checked out Miss Kuhlman prior to their being healed. Some would listen for weeks on the radio before they went to a meeting. Others would go in person a number of times before accepting the availability and reality of faith healing for today. A fascinating book that covers this is I Believe In Miracles by Kathryn Kuhlman (Bridge Publishing, Inc, 1962).
If you dare to go back just a few more years, you will learn of an Englishman named Smith Wigglesworth. He was born in 1859 and died in 1947. When he was a young businessman, he met some fellow Christians in Leeds, England. They believed in faith healing and practiced it every weekend. He would go to Leeds every weekend to pick up supplies for his business as well as attend their church service. Eventually he became convinced of the soundness of their teaching and chose to believe that healing was available and possible for people of his day.
Not only did Wigglesworth become convinced it was theoretically possible for people of his day to be healed by faith in Jesus Christ, but every weekend he would take sick people from his town to the Leeds Healing House to be healed. That was a 9 mile journey each way.
Eventually on a certain weekend, Wigglesworth was asked to lead the service by the two leaders since they had a prior engagement elsewhere that they could not get out of attending. Smith Wigglesworth agreed to stand in for them and...people were healed in that service. That was the beginning of his remarkable healing ministry.
POINT: To be healed miraculously by faith in Jesus Christ, you have to come to where the healings are taking place. Go and observe. Ponder on it and ask the Holy Spirit to settle things for you intellectually.
Where are the healings taking place in your city?
In the summer, if you wanted to take a cool, refreshing swim in a pool, you would go to where you KNEW there was a pool. You would not go to the barren desert on the possibility that there might be a pool there. Yet isn't this the behavior pattern you have been showing or are showing when you go to a church where there is no healings taking place?
