A Simple Way to Disconnect a Machine from a Homegroup
If you find the Homegroup is useless and you are make sure you have downloaded or shared all the files you wanted , you can completely disconnect it. However, personally, I will recommend you to leave a Homegroup because you don't need access to its files or printer which can share files between machines. But if you decide to disable, I wll show you how to disconnect a machine from a Homegroup.
Note: After you leave a Homegroup, you and any users on the computer will no longer have access to any of the shared data.
Leave Homegroup
Type "homegroup" into the Search box in the Start Menu and hit Enter.
In the Homegroup Settings windowsunder "Other homegroup actions" click on "Leave the homegroup".
In the next screen, click on "Leave the Homegroup". You can choose to not leave but change what your sharing here to which is something to keep in mind if you need to do that at some point.
Give it a moment to disconnect and you'll get the following message then click "Finish" to complete your configuration.
