Look for studies on the Internet that are done on how Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc., are getting this information, and get going on giving those search crawlers what they want. This information will be crucial to your resulting website campaigne, keyword research, and copywriting.

3. Research your keyword terms thoroughly. The phrases you think your target market might be looking for could be off. Just because you would search for a product or service a certain way, doesnt mean other people will look for it the same way. You need to figure out how the majority of the people are searching for your service. For example: The keyword Maine Roofers was searched 456 times in May of 2010. But, Maine Roofing was searched 4,319 times. What a big difference for such a minor change in the search term.

4. Design your site to be search engine friendly. The bots can't fill out forms, can't search your site, can't see JavaScript links and menus, and can't interpret graphics and Flash.
