A Snow Surprise At Church This Year

When it's time to decorate your church for Christmas

, are there any new ideas to bring the most festive spirit possible to these special days? While all the usual decorations have had a wonderful response, many churches are bringing a White Christmas theme to their Nativity, Christmas plays, entrance and lobby displays and so much more by using realistic, dramatic fake snow and snowfall only recently available for everyone to use.

For 20 years indoor snowboard parks have used an instant type of artificial snow that is so real you could ski in it, yet can easily and affordably be used for indoor decorations at any temperature or location. A different type of snow is used in simple Snowfall machines that create a lovely snowfall that leaves no mess or wet surface behind. One or both of these may be just what you are looking for.

Instant snow traps water in a few seconds but does not melt or wet surfaces, so you can create an indoor (or outdoor) winter wonderland that is truly breathtaking. Now easily available online, your "fake" snow will look so real that parishioners will wonder if someone just drove back from the mountains with a load of snow. Event planners and designers are just not catching on to the wonders of instant snow and using it at weddings, banquets, and parties of all sizes and budgets. Preschools and summer camps create snowplay areas indoors or outdoors using this fake snow, and you will have a blast decorating your church for the holidays. And, because the snow last so long, everyone can take a bag home after church to decorate their own home, office or other event.

Snowfall machines use what is called Evaporative Foam technology to create the realistic snowfall you see in movies, TV commercials, and at amusement parks all over the country. Now smaller versions are available with an inflatable Santa or Snowman attached, and costing under $200. They can be used indoors or outdoors but you have to be careful only to buy from quality US manufacturers, as the cheaper units may leave you with a soaked or sticky floor. Quality units use a solution that evaporates completely and won't wet or stain any surface.

Now, with snow either blanketing any surfaces you desire, or falling from above, you can create that Winter Wonderland you always wanted at church. With both snowfall and ground snow, your cherished event will be both dramatic and memorable and in keeping with the spirit of the season.
