On October 31, 2010, there was a terrible disaster happened in Indonesia. Mount Merapi spews smoke, when off the slopes of the country's most volatile volcano on Saturday, Indonesia's military forced villagers carried some away screaming as the mountain sent clouds of gray ash cascading down its slopes in its most powerful explosion yet.
Surono, chief of the Center for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation , announced that Mount Merapi sprang back to life early this week and unleashed a terrifying 21-minute eruption early Saturday, followed by more than 350 volcanic tremors and 33 ash burst. The notoriously unpredictable Mount Merapi forced the temporarily closure of an airport and claimed another life, bringing the total death toll nears 430.

It is so hard for a life to come into the world, being a healthy human, making some contributions to his country and realize his values. Life is such a hard thing, everything you owned in your life should be treasured with your whole heart. Unfortunately there are some natural disasters in the world, sometimes just one natural disaster will bring some many lives away and making all your efforts in vain.
Actually the thing erupted from volcano is not something called "fire", it is some high-temperature viscous material called magma. The situation for a volcano eruption is very speculated, at other times, the magma has been wrapped in the Earth's crust tightly, due to its high temperature and great pressure from the Earth's crust, therefore when meeting the place where a thin crust or crack, the magma will blow out of the ground heavily and violently.
When a volcano erupted, there will be huge earth-shattering roar together, as well as roaring and rolling stones. The extremely hot magma is just like one and one ferocious dragons, emerging out from the ground and devouring everything around him. Just in one minute, radius of tens of miles will be enveloped with a heavy smoke and fog. Sometimes, due to the volcanic eruption, there will appear a high mountain from the ground just in one minute such as the Mount Kilimanjaro near the equator and; while sometimes the volcano will swallow up the entire village and town just one instant.
The formation of the volcano is under the cover of the earth, the deeper under the surface, the more higher the temperature is. And about 20 miles under the surface, the high temperature is enough to melt down most rocks. When rocks melting down, it will be expanded and needs more space. Such melted material of high temperature will be upright along the crack caused by bulge. When the pressure of the grooved lava is bigger than that of its upper rocks, the material magma will blow out and form a volcano.
After evaluation of thousands of years, the Earth has come into like the situation today, what's more, human being is the best creature ever and they have created such great values in the world, with huge contribution. While the place we live is just a common planet, owning its advantages and disadvantages, she owns so many valued resources which cannot be compared by other planets. But there are many natural disasters in the world, such as volcano, earthquake, floods etc. Sometimes there is just little we can do for natural disasters, while developing modern technology, inevitably there will be some harm to environment which needs to be taken good care of by human. Probably through such method, there will be less harm and disasters will be reduced objectively.
