There are many kinds of chemical preparations that you can spray on black mold colonies. Some of them claim to remove the molds completely; others will need to be applied again after some weeks. All of them pose one common danger for the person cleaning the mold. And that comes from the fact that the act of spraying the chemical is likely to stir up the spores of the black mold. This increases the population of the spores in the air and will be harmful for you if you do not wear your filtered mask.

After successfully treating the area with the chemical you will have to refer to the instructions that came with it to know how long it will take before the mold is deactivated. Once deactivated, you will need to - very carefully - wipe the area clean with a bleach solution. Once clean, you can apply a hot blower fan to the area until it is completely dry. Set the fan to low power and keep the nozzle close to the area you are drying to prevent the air from blowing in surrounding places which may have other black mold colonies.
