A Variety Of The Best Movie Experiences From The Incredible Director, Steven Spielberg

Where do I start when trying to compile a list of the greatest Steven Spielberg films of all time

. When it comes to stars in the movie industry, the man is a true living legend. Ever since the 1970s, Spielberg has been directing top notch movies and entertaining audiences around the world.

But which of his films have been his greatest works? The following movies are my personal favorites.

The first movie I will mention should be a prerequisite for all children to see. Of course, I am talking about E.T. It is hard to pinpoint exactly what is so great about this movie, but it is no doubt a classic and puts a smile on my face every time I see it.

Another fantastic movie directed by Spielberg was Saving Private Ryan. Few people do World War II films as good as Spielberg does and this film is the perfect depiction. No wonder he managed to snag an Oscar for Best Director.

It's definitely tough to make a list of Spielberg movies and not give praise to The Color Purple. This film picked up a ton of nominations at the 1986 Academy Awards, including a Best Director nod for Spielberg and a nomination for Best Supporting Actress for Oprah Winfrey.

It is tough to make a list of Steven Spielberg films without giving praise to Schindler's List. In my opinion and the opinions of many others, when it comes to films about the holocaust, there is no more important film than Schindler's List. I should note that this is an incredibly upsetting film due to the subject matter, so watch with caution.

It goes without saying that Jaws makes my list. After this movie, people were legitimately afraid to go in the water at the beaches. This movie did to the beach what Psycho did to taking a shower.

Hopefully there is at least one Steven Spielberg film on this list that you have yet to see. If it's any indication how legendary this director is, Microsoft Word autocorrected his name when I spelled it wrong!
