With the malestrom and vibrations typical of any capital city

, Mendoza finds the way to preserve the peace of Cuyo region. It offers an infinite list of tourist attractions and premium accommodation, like the Diplomatic Hotel, it seduces everyone of its visitors. However, not too far from the core of the capital, you can find peaceful villas to spend a relaxing afternoon.

The Path of the 365 Curves is a colorful road, also called "the path of a year", covering the distance from Caracoles Path to Cross of Paramillos, at 3,200 meters above the sea level, which used to be a former route to Chile. Nowadays is an unforgettable ledge trail, with fascinating flora and fauna and a view of the Cordillera. "Alas Delta" (Gliding) is a panoramic spot which is approximately at 2,100 meters above the sea level. "El Balcn" (The Balcony) is another interesting natural viewpoint, which is along the way to Paramillos, on the route to Uspallata. In this memorable natural terrace you can admire the impressive drop 600 meters deep, product of a massive fracture of the field. Its breathtaking view is dominated by the high peaks of the Andes: the Tupungato (6,800 m) Mercedario (6770 m) and Aconcagua (6,959 m).

Mount Aconcagua is the highest mountain in America, hovering among the heights of the titanic Andean peaks. From the Aconcagua it is possible to see the Vilavicencio Natural Reservoir with its entire splendor. The name of the mount Aconcagua comes from Quechua language, and it means "Stone Sentinel or Watchover". The Cross of Paramillos is another site that you cannot fail to visit in your way to Villavicencio, due to the wonderful panoramic view across the Uspallata Valley.

On the western side of Mendoza city we can get to Guaymalln, a small nieghboring town , separated by a channel. This village is one of the first colonies of the province and the connection point of the main routes. From the 18th century, Guaymalln has been picked by the landowners to build their downtown houses. The Molina Pico's is one of the most famous. It used to belong to an influential family during colonial times. This house, situated in Las Heras and Paroisen corner, hosted General San Martin and is now a museum.

Then, there is no need to go far to find quietness and easiness. A few minutes away from the Diplomatic Hotel, a large variety of pretty towns and villages are ready to welcome you and your family.
