. Practically, expressions like the conservation of water, petroleum, natural gas and so on have been reported on TV or in newspapers and magazines for a million times. However the word conservation still fails to catch our attention. We are still consuming and even wasting these resources at a fantastic speed.

Gradually, with more people are facing the shortage of natural resources like water or electricity to sustain a normal daily life, we came to realize that we have been facing some very serious problems--resource shortage and environment destruction. Now people all over the world are taking measures to solve these problems. For examples, car manufacturers are encouraged to develop cars that consume less petrol and pipe off less waste gas. Some companies in western countries even have made cars that do not consume petrol but solar energy. Governments in many regions decide to close down factories that are in low effect. for example china has shut down hundreds of powerhouses that are able to produce less than Aircrew of 1250000 kilowatt. Conversation of resources has been one of the main topics today.

These days nearly all countries are working hard on conservation from the building of constructions to the producing of daily necessities such as shoes. Conservation has changed our attitudes towards lives and finally it will change the world we live in. We no longer take every gift that the nature endows us for granted. We learn to form the habit of turning off the lights when we leave rooms; we refuse to use a plastic bag but a shopping basket instead. The conservation also encourages the scientists to look for new energy. Beyond doubt, we will use up these precious resources such as petroleum sooner or later, and if we can not discover or invent something that can replace them, then the world may not develop any more. It will be a manmade disaster to the nature.
