A World Heritage Site
One country India has been an address to numerous world heritage destinations
, which displays the country's affluent artistic and architectural legacy. The representation of devotion anf affection - Taj Mahal - is one such heritage that every Indian feels prod to be associated with. Constructed in nearly 1631 by the Mughal ruler Shah Jahan in remembrance of his much-loved wife Mumtaz Mahal, the Taj Mahal is positioned on the edge of the Yamuna in Agra, which is about 220 kilometres from Delhi, the capital city of India. United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), that, supports the safety and protection of legacy places across the world declared Taj Mahal a world heritage site in the year 1983. Once on this listing, a tombstone obtains support from the Unesco related to technological assistance and specialized training for the protection of the monument. The association also offers crisis backing and public consciousness for world heritage preservation. But of late a scheme that planned to construct a heritage passage between the Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort was in the centre of argument. The Taj Corridor plan drew criticism from all walks of life, as specialists thought that the creations of the corridor on the riverbed probably change the course of the Yamuna and would lead to environmental problems. This may have been a major menace to the Taj Mahal, a world heritage location. The work which began on this project was instantly stopped. Despite the orders from the Supreme Court that put a full stop to the construction around Taj without appropriate consent, the Taj Heritage Corridor plan got started off in the array of an environment-cum-heritage plan.
The lavish project of approximately 200 crores envisioned a heritage corridor compound consisting of shopping malls, travelers complexs, enjoyment parks and eating joints, extending nearly two kilometres on the Yamuna bed from the Agra Fort till the Taj Mahal. Connoisseurs thought that the filling of the riverbed would taper the Yamuna, which might put the Taj's base under risk. The scheme was not only a threat for the Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort but it had dishonored the rule keeping out the construction inside 300 meters of monuments. As arguements of these developments, the legacy status of the Taj Mahal had come under threat. That very moment unesco passed a statement that this might put the Taj Mahal under 'World Heritage in Danger' listing, if it is discovered that the fresh, complex would in any way harm the genuineness and reliability of the site and would have a unenthusiastic visual impact. But luckily, nothing of that kind occurred and the things were under control.
