The advantages of lattice-type ball mill are that the ore exhausting speed is higher, reducing the phenomenon of over-crushing. At the same time, it increases the unit volume production, having a higher production than the overflow-type ball mill. Its disadvantages are that its structure is complex, easy to plug grid plate in ore exhausting process, its maintenance is difficult and complex, and operating rate is relatively low.

The advantage of overflow-type ball mill is simple in structure, easy to maintain. The disadvantage of overflow-type ball mill is low in production capacity per unit volume and easy to produce over crushed phenomenon.
