Acai Berry And Its Remarkable Anti-aging Effect

, especially by the makers of the various acai supplements, is something to the effect that the berry has an anti-aging effect. Of course, what is being promised here is not something to do with stopping the chronological passage of time (that would be impossible, without our current technology). What is being promised, rather, is something to do with wiping out the effects of that passage of time on the body. That way, you can end up looking thirty or forty, when your actual age is fifty.

Before proceeding to say much on how the acai berry brings about the anti-aging effect associated with it, we may mention something as to why anyone would want to look less old than they really are. One is tempted to think that is about vanity, but the truth of the matter is that the passage of time does some rather cruel things on the human body. We all know what happens to our looks, as we age. Talking about things like the formation of wrinkles, the skin dullness and general loss of form that comes with the passage of time would only be akin to accentuating the suffering for those who find themselves in that situation. And we have not even started looking at the loss of physical vigor, and loss of libido, which are characteristic of the 'coming of old age;' as well as the decline in mental faculties associated with the same.

Thankfully, those effects of the aging process are mostly things with which the acai berry can offer some help. Starting with the loss in aesthetic appeal (by way of things like wrinkle formation), what acai does is to supply the body with anti-oxidants, which go a long way toward increasing skin elasticity and thereby giving the wrinkles no room to manifest.

With regard to something like the loss of physical vigor that comes with old age, we see the acai berry having the effect of energizing its users, so that the loss of physical energy that comes with older age is counteracted by this energizing effect of acai.

The berry (and its products) also has this sexual enhancement effect, by way of, among other things, enhancing libido, and this is the way through which it can counteract the loss of libido that comes with advancement in years. With regard to decline in mental faculties, there might not be much that acai can do, but it does have the effect of improving the user's sleep -and as we all know, we tend to be at our best mentally when we get to sleep well. Indeed, one factor behind the mental decline that takes place in the latter years has something to do with the sleeping difficulties that manifest over the years. The energizing effect of the acai berry can also have a mental dimension; seeing that we tend to be at best mentally when our bodies are properly energized.
