Acer Aspire One 532H Netbook with 3G modem Review

Acer Aspire One 532h comes with Windows 7 starter edition and powered with Intel Atom processor N450 (1.66GHz). It has 1GB Ram and 160GB hard disk which is more than enough for a Netbook and its compact size is very convenient time for travel. The backup battery is claim to be more than 10 hours which makes the icing on the cake for professionals on the move who struggles with battery backup of Normal Laptops which last only for 2-3 hours max.

Acer launched its Aspire One 532h around 1 year back and from that time, it is the most selling netbook in its category. Latest launch is powered with in built 3G broadband modem which makes it most attractive for Netbook enthusiasts in india. Acer One 532H 3G broadband modem works with Reliance Netconnect in India and users can experience high speed internet at 3.1MBPS at most of the Tier 1 and Tier 2 Cities. Moreover, Reliance CDMA network is all over india and this modem work at 1X speed (155Kbps) across India.

You can buy Aspire One 532h at around 17000 + in India. It comes with 10GB internet free for 2 months. Along with the 3G modem and the free internet, effectively customers are getting 4300 Rs worth freebie along with Acer Aspire One 532h netbook. Because Reliance Netconnect broadband modem price in bangalore is 2300/- and 5GB broadband modem costs around 1000 Rs in Bangalore and most of the part of India.

Customer is having added advantage of integrated 3G broadband modem, as it is very convenient. You dont need to carry the USB device everytime and occupy one USB port for 3G modem. This is very important as normally netbooks comes with 3 USB ports and if you plug the normal USB 3G data card, it is difficult to plug another USB device adjusant to it which makes 2 USB port occupied for one purpose.

The disadvantage is that you cannot switch the service provider from Reliance Netconnect to Tata Photon or MTS Blaze. However, this is not possible even in the case of other 3G modems now available in market. The modems are dedicated for the service provider and you cannot switch the service provider as and when required.

Another disadvantage is that this model of Aspire one 532h comes with only 1GB and 160GB, which is the case of other netbooks in this category. There is another model comes with 2GB and 250GB but the lack of integrated 3G modem and high price compared to this model makes unattractive.

Overall, this is good value for money even if you are not interested in the 3G modem. Because the price of Acer Aspire One 532h doesnt attribute this addition price. Moreover, Aspire One 532H with blue color is one of the best low cost Netbook available in India.
