Acne - Does It Relate To Food?

Whether certain foods cause acne or not has been a subject of research for many years now

. In an attempt to prevent the eruption of acne and to rid acne already formed at the earliest, researchers and doctors are examining various foods for any possible connections.

There is a common belief that cocoa in chocolates increases acne and makes it worse. Like wise, it is also believed that eating deep fried food increases the oil content in the skin and makes it favorable for acne to develop. But there are also other factors like the play of genes and a stressful lifestyle that determine the eruption of acne.

Why one person develops acne and another in the same age group does not is still a mystery. Why some having acne in their teens continue to have them even as they grow into adulthood is yet to be understood. One teenager's body does not react the way another teenagers body does although both of their bodies produce similar hormones at the same age.

Scientific research into this arena is yet to get a breakthrough. Although it is not known for sure that certain foods cause acne, it cannot be written off completely. In order to be careful, you should use the trial and error method to find out what foods your skin is allergic to. So a chart of all the food you eat and the ones your body responds to adversely must be noted. And if that repeats, you should try and stay away from such food.
