Apply it in the same fashion as you would rose water, but dilute it first and test it on a small patch of skin. If need be, make the solution stronger.

Tea Tree Oil

This oil is known worldwide for its many properties. It is used to treat illnesses such as dandruff, Candidiasis, and has even been known to fight off acne bacteria.

Apply tea tree oil once you have diluted it. If applied without having been diluted, you can cause contact dermatitis. You may also have to use an oil-free moisturizer since it can dry out your skin.

Other Home Remedies

The application of strawberry or fresh mint leaves has been a common home acne remedy for years. Or, if you'd like, you can also try using lemon juice diluted in water to help control acne symptoms.

As previously mentioned, toothpaste is also a common home remedy for acne. Unless, of course, you suffer from severe acne. But, many people have said that applying a small dab on an isolated pimple reduces redness and inflammation.

Acne home remedies are convenient, but sometimes your skin condition requires something more powerful. For example, hormonal acne may require professional intervention so it would be helpful to keep this in mind when looking for an acne home remedy that is right for you.
