Get a container or a bowl filled with purified water. Squeeze the lemon juice into this ball (one teaspoon) and let it be diluted into the purified water. The purpose of using water here is to reduce the intensity of burns that lemon juices may cause when you apply it on your acne-ridden skin. However, when it comes to acne treatment using lemon, it is important for you to understand that the more water you use, the less effective the result will be. A good idea is to dilute one teaspoon of lemon juices with half teaspoon of purified water.

Wake up in the morning and wash your face. If your face burns or you feel irritation, just apply the solution again after rinsing your face thoroughly.

If the burning sensation is still there, do not leave the applied solution for more than eight to ten minutes. After 8-10 minutes, rinse your face with cold water.
