Acoustic foams
Acoustic foams, as their name suggests, are designed to help deal with the problems caused by excessive noise
. These issues can arise in any number of environments be they domestic, industrial or in the entertainment sector. The way acoustic foam works is quite interesting.Acoustic foam is usually made out of polyurethane foam, sometime melamine foams are used as well. The reason these particular foams are used is that their open cell design traps sound waves very effectively. We make available a range of grades and thicknesses which will ensure that each individual situation can be dealt with as efficiently as possible.
Take, for example, fitting out a music studio. Acoustic tiles will be the best way of
successfully sound-proofing the room. They will absorb mid band frequencies and upwards while also helping to control other problems such as echoes. The thicker tiles are will dictate how low the frequency is that can be absorbed.
Using acoustic floor tiles will greatly upgrade the capability of your more standard floor tiles or carpet. If you are in a first floor room, for instance, the use of acoustic tiles will reduce the amount of noise from below. Acoustic ceiling tiles can be cut to size to be used in conjunction with a grid suspended from the ceiling. They will simply drop into the grid allowing you to adjust them to cut down reflections that may be harmful.
Other areas in which acoustic foam may be effective in solving excessive noise issues include; generators, air-conditioning units, school halls and theatres. If you are not certain which foam products will be of most use, it is usually a good idea to contact the manufacturers.
