For parents heading off on holidays, the greatest fear is running out of things to do. Indeed, you want to relax on your trip, and unless your children are well occupied, they won't let you catch a moment of peace and quiet. Holidays to Tenerife are great for this reason as there is so much to see and do; this destination is guaranteed to keep your entire family busy.

A great starting point is the beach. While it is a simple option, it is quite amazing how long the beach can occupy your children. Swimming, sand castles and beach sports are all lots of fun, not to mention generally running around and enjoying the sun, sand and surf. The best part of beach activities is that you will be able to laze in the sun while your children amuse themselves.

Leave the beach and check out Siam Park Water Kingdom. This amazing park features fantastic water rides and has a fun Thai theme. It's even good for those who aren't big swimmers, as there are some rides specially designed for non-swimmers.

Finally, head to the Monkey Park where you can get up close with Lemurs and even feed them their favourite fruit. Children love animals, and they will be absolutely thrilled to get up close and personal with these wonderful creatures. There are more than just monkeys here: you will see Black Leopards, Iguanas and a variety of birds.

This is just a taste of all the great activities in Tenerife, and there is no doubt that there is more than enough to keep any family busy. Indeed, you're likely to be coming back again to do all the fun things you didn't have time for on your first visit.
