Advanced Techniques Revolutionize Wastewater Treatment Systems

Clean Water is an essential component of life and water treatment systems can provide just that

, crystal clear H2O. Contaminants are removed & chloride is converted into chlorine by using water remediation systems, for more information about this process, please visit http://latitudesolutions.net/

Advanced Techniques Revolutionize Wastewater Treatment Systems

Electro Precipitation is a wastewater treatment process that removes heavy metals, colloids, microorganisms, and emulsions from water. With parallel metal plates that introduce a direct electrical current through contaminated water, contaminants become destabilized and aggregate to form larger clumps of particles. The result is a precipitate that "falls" out of the water, making it cleaner. Such onsite wastewater treatment systems can remove particles as small as 0.001 microns in diameter, including:

Heavy metals

Colloidal silica

Clay

Radioactive particles

Bacteria

Electro Precipitation systems can also be integrated with other types of water remediation systems to make them more efficient and keep the cost of consumable materials lower.

How This Wastewater Remediation Process Works

Electro Precipitation is a four step process. First, ions' valence states are changed. Chloride, for example, is changed into chlorine. Next, direct electrical fields cause the formation of complex compounds. This is a way to remove many heavy metals from wastewater, even under acidic conditions. Thirdly, the creation of "micro environments" removes contaminants by creating certain chemical reactions. For example, bicarbonate ions can be stripped of hydrogen ions and forced to interact with calcium to form calcium carbonate, which precipitates out. Finally, a process called flocculation causes colloids to come out of suspension in the form of flakes called "floc." The final result is remediated wastewater.

Wastewater Solutions for Today

Electro Precipitation systems are already in demand and in use, due to superior mobility and scalability and lower power consumption. These wastewater treatment systems can be customized to the needs of individual clients depending on the source of their wastewater, the specific contaminants targeted for removal, and the goals for responsible water discharge or reuse. When integrated into existing wastewater remediation systems, an Electro Precipitation system can ensure the water is as clean as the client needs it to be. The systems can be adapted to any volume of water and any required flow rate.

Wastewater Solutions for Tomorrow

Electro Precipitation fits in perfectly with today's increasing emphasis on conserving natural resources while using technology to improve economic benefit. New versions of Electro Precipitation units are being developed to better meet client needs. These new systems include stationary or mobile stand-alone units and stationary or mobile units that are integrated with pre-treatment and post-treatment technologies. The applications for Electro Precipitation units will grow as more industries realize the advantages of using this type of wastewater treatment approach.

Better Water Remediation at a Lower Cost

Potential clients want to remove the greatest percentage of contaminants from wastewater at the best possible cost. Whether the treated wastewater is to be reused or discharged, its remediation is extremely important to the environment. Fortunately, Electro Precipitation systems can be integrated into existing technologies even if they are already in place. Onsite wastewater treatment integration helps provide the cleanest remediated wastewater while keeping costs under control. It has been used successfully in the oil and gas industry, mining, drinking water, food processing, and even truck washing. It is definitely a technology to watch in coming years.
