Email is the only alternate to paper work. Instead of sending letters, applications, report or documents in a hard copy, one can easily send them on the mail. This way, less paper is used and more trees are saved. In addition, the emails can be transferred through discrete signals. Meanwhile, this is not the case when a hard copy is required. In hard copy documentation, it has to be transported. This adds to additional cost, while wasting the fuel.

A paper format may not support glittery images, animations or hypertext. However, this is possible via email. You can attach anything that you like to, and send it to the recipient. He will then download the attachments or view them online. Whether the online is used for any purpose, i.e. communication within an organization, a business, a body or personal communication, there is an almost non-existent cost. All you will have to pay is for the internet connection, nothing more. So it saves the cost of paper, printing and then transportation, along with saving the time.

Although, corruption is possible within the messages, some intelligent technologies have been developed to catch cyber crime, and detect any problems within the message. The email websites are so intelligent enough that if they believe that the message is from an unknown or untrustworthy source, the message is automatically sent to the scam messages. This way, email message are more secure and convenient. However some of its disadvantages are that there is not a certain limit to the messages you can receive. This way you can receive a lot useless messages, and it can consume a lot of time of yours. Besides, emails can be dangerous because some of them contain viruses.
