Asus has a wide range list of laptop models that they have launched in the market. Most of the units they have presented to the world are satisfactory to the consumers. In 2010 they launched a new product which catches the eyes of the consumers because of its cheap price and good specs, the Asus Eee PC 1201pn.

The Asus Eee PC 1201pn is said to be one of the best netbook Asus has ever launched and guarantees satisfactory results from their users. The laptop has its own advantages which people will find them to be better than most netbooks they have encountered, the advantages are;

1. Runs with a 2GB RAM and 250GB hard disk

Most Pine Trail netbooks runs with a 1GB RAM and 160GB hard disk, except the Asus Eee PC 1008p which the storage is 320. 1GB RAM and 160GB hard disk is a thing of the past, as the years progress, new softwares are going to be developed and when it does, it means the processor, RAM and the storage capacity you must have must be faster and bigger in order for you to enjoy the unit you own without experiencing technical difficulties. Other pc books are in the 1GB RAM and 160GB hard disk category, if you continue to buy them you might regret it in the future and spend another hundreds of dollars to buy a new computer.

2. It runs in a home premium version of windows 7

Because of its big capacity, it runs at a higher rate of windows 7. Unlike other units, because of their limited capacity, they can run windows 7 but up to starter program only.

3. Has a 12.1 inch screen, and a good physical features

Other unit's screen averages from 10.1 to 11.6 inch, and offers the same price range as 1201pn, but with 1201pn, it offers a 12.1 inch screen, a chiclet style keys which their keys are very comfortable and quite, a good mouse button that responds very well and a glossy black design that looks more expensive than what their price offers. Although the touchpad and the right shift key are small, the performance of its pad and keys are satisfactory.

5. Has an advanced resolution and graphics

Majority of a Pine trail netbook in the market, their built in resolution is 1024 x 600, where as to the 1201pn, its resolution is 1,366 x 768. Because of this advanced resolution, using this unit to watch videos is good and far better than other Pine trails. Because the graphics built in this laptop is Nvidia Ion 2, the unit can play low impact games that won't lag and won't cause any technical problems.

6. Good speakers, microphone and camera

The speakers are good and clear, but it is advisable to use it at 75%, because when you use it up to 100%, the speakers will be a little distorted, the microphone however produces good results when you use it in recording. The VGA web cam also is good and clear and does not fail the expectations of the users.

7. Battery life is good

Although this 6 celled battery last up to 3 hours and 17 minutes only, users must understand, the battery drains that long because of its heavy graphics. But a 3 hour + battery drain is not that bad, in fact it is still considered a good performance by product reviewers.
