Advantages of light duty warning whips
A light duty warning whip is appropriate for all sorts of applications for business and recreation. High visibility warning whips help you to see others around you in vehicles and be seen by others as you approach or depart, can be mounted in a variety of ways and doesn't take long to attach or detach. This type of safety feature is worth the time in money to protect you and others.
Increasing your Visibility
With a light duty warning whip, you have a sturdy fiberglass rod that is seven feet tall with a jaunty flag at the top. The whip itself can typically come in a variety of colors to match or coordinate with your fleet of vehicles in construction or mining or your individual recreation bike, snowmobile, dune buggy, golf cart, ATV or boat. If your whip is bounced around a lot on an off-road surface, the whip is repairable. The flag at the top can also be switched out for different colors and with reflective markings on it for those dawn or dusk hours. The seven feet is a requirement for most light duty warning whips, as they cannot be lighted and any shorter version would decrease the visibility.
Light Duty Warning Whips Mounting Options
The warning whip will need to either have a " hole drilled into the side or top of the vehicle or be mounted onto a bracket which is attached to it. The light duty warning whip itself will come with a base which consists of a mounting bolt that will be put up through the bracket or vehicle hole and pushed upward to meet the jam nut which will need to be tightened firmly. Then, slide the compression nut, with the compression ring inserted, up the fiberglass shaft, and insert the fiberglass shaft through the hole in the mounting bolt. Afterwards, slide the compression nut down the fiberglass shaft and firmly tighten onto the mounting bolt.
You can perform this installation task on any number of mounting attachments, including a magnetic mounting base for temporary use that can be simply placed on the metallic surface of the vehicle very simply. Other options are billet, fold down brackets, and "L" bracket mount, a steel fire hydrant mount, a flat surface mounting bracket and even a steel stake mount. A final choice is a light duty spring mount that is appropriate for many off-road vehicles.
Just because you need only a light duty warning whip does not mean that it is any less significant than a heavy duty warning whip. This device is more affordable and just as effective. A light duty warning whip has so many applications that it's the best value in visibility safety around.
