Advertising sales job is all about devising ways so that a particular product of a company can be sold off so that the company can earn its desired revenue which is the reason why they had made the product in the first place. For this there is need for the employees of the company's advertising sales work to be very creative and observant of human behavior.

Sales executive of advertising sales job has to put in a lot of effort and time in making surveys of what the buyers need and want. A product with little significance in buyers' life would not make many sales despite intelligent ad programs. The products too thus have to be incongruence with the demand of the market.

There are separate advertising agencies which are given responsibility for promotion of the products of certain companies. These agencies offer sales job in advertising also. They also need to be careful of what the demand of the client company exactly is which population they intend to target, what their desired approach is etc.

Advertising sales job involves making almost hundreds of calls per day. A lot of advertising and sales are done though telecommunication. Sometimes presentations need to be given in a face to face situation also.

For these reasons it is important for the employee in advertising sales careers to possess certain qualities: they should appear amiable and confident, they should be convincing and should have a pursuant attitude, they must have clear knowledge about the product they intend to sell since the client may cross question him and confident answers would help lead to sale whereas the reverse would only adversely affect the sales rate.


The employee may be needed to device creative ways and may need to improvise in the situation for the sake of sale of the product in hand.

The areas of advertising sales employment are: film, television, radio, telephone or other outdoor advertisements. The demand of the skills for each place of job may vary.

Maintaining customer relations is also an important aspect of the agent's work in advertising sales jobs. The old relations can be tapped when new products are there in the market for sales.

The pay in such industry is good but the job can be very challenging because different people are persuaded in different ways. Never does one thumb rule work for every buyer. The confident attitude of the seller or the advertising sales agent is what acts as a major catalyst. It is to be borne in the mind that no buyer is sitting all ready to buy the product but it is the duty of the sales agent to promote the product in such a way that the buy feels that without the product life would definitely not be smooth!
