It can be advantageous for a parent to start with this strategy and save the special treats for any major hurdles your little girl may come across along the way.

Yet as methods of toilet training go, the clean and tidy disposable underpants method is as good a place to begin as any. It commences when you switch her from regular diapers to these disposable underwear. As she practices pulling them up and down, you will give encouragement as necessary. Make sure to take her to the bathroom at regular intervals and ask her often if she has to go. Offer her plenty of praise when she makes it to the potty in time.

A good way to get your daughter focused on the benefits of being potty trained is by taking her shopping to buy underwear. Let your daughter pick whichever kind she likes. Discuss the shopping trip ahead of time so she gets excited about the adventure you are about to undertake.
