Augmentation mammoplasty is a safe procedure. Rare complication includes rupture of implant, capsule contracture and infection of the implant. In all three cases implant may have to be removed. Breast surgeries are usually done as day surgery and the operated patient could go home the same day. Usually patient needs to be available for follow up for a period of one week. All routine activity could be resumed after three weeks.
