Aethlon Medical (OTCBB: AEMD) To Present at Rodman and Renshaw Conference

Aethelon Medical, a designer, maker, and marketer of diagnosis and monitoring devices

for infectious disease and cancer patients, has announced the company's chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Jim Joyce, will be presenting at the Rodman and Renshaw Annual Global Investment Conference, held in New York City from September 12-15th, 2010.

The company's Hemopurifier is the first medical device to selectively target the removal of infectious viruses and immunosuppressive proteins from the entire circulatory system. Aethlon has discovered the device captures tumor-secreted exosomes that suppress the immune system of those afflicted with cancer. Prior to this discovery, a therapeutic strategy to directly inhibit or reverse the immunosuppressive destruction caused by exosomes did not exist previously in cancer care.

By eliminating this mechanism, Aethlon believes the Hemopurifier can fill an unmet clinical need and provide the benefit of an immune-based therapy without adding drug toxicity or interaction risks to established and emerging treatment strategies.

Most recently, on August 26th, 2010, Aethlon announced the Medanta Independent Ethics Committee (MIEC) at Medant and The Medicity Institute (Medicity) has approved a treatment program entitled: "Use of the Aethlon Hemopurifier in Treating Chronic HCV Infection in Combination with Standard of Care (SOC) Drug Therapy." The goal of this partnership and study will be to demonstrate that Aethlon's Hemopurifier can successfully speed up the benefits of HCV SOC drug regiments.

The Rodman and Renshaw (NASDAQ: RODM) AGIC has been going on for several years and the conference is live in Europe and Asia this year. Notable speakers at the New York City conference in two weeks will include a keynote by former Treasury Secretary Henry M. Paulson being interviewed by renowned free market economist and CNBC host Larry Kudlow. Companies are presenting corporate presentations from all industries as well drug delivery, oncology, and stem cell research, among many areas of interest.
