As an affiliate marketer, you are promoting others product online and for any sales you make you receive a reward a commission for that sale. However to start promoting other people's products, you need to join an affiliate program.

Most people starting in affiliate marketing ask if there are any free affiliate programs to join? The simple answer is Yes. Infact one of the great things about this business is the little setup costs which includes the fact that the majority of affiliate networks that are available online are free to join. So how to do get started . Well you will need to sign up for a free account with them. Once that is done you will be able to select the products that you wish to want to promote. Before joining any of these affiliate programs however make sure you research and make sure that the merchant who you will be marketing their products has a good reputation and is honest and there is a clear understanding on the commissions you will earn on sales made.

When you do decide to join an affiliate network look at networks like Commission Junction, Amazon Affiliates, Clickbank and PayDotCom. These networks don't charge sign up fees to join. Do your research as there are some dishonest merchants still on the internet so when you are starting up stick to the major affiliate networks that way you're guaranteed of your commissions.

Really more people are becoming aware of the income opportunities that can be eared from the affiliate marketing. If you do decide to sign up for a paid affiliate programs remember to research them fully before signing up. Personally I think there is more than enough excellent quality products available to market through the free networks anyway!
