If you are looking for genuine affiliate marketing secrets, you have come to the right place. In this article I am going to share what I feel are the three "secrets" to success when following almost any path to making money online.

If you have been trying to make money online, or even if you are just starting out, then I bet you have seen an awful lot of products claiming to reveal secrets to success. Often these products promise to show you how to make an income of thousands per month, or sometimes per day. Many do teach some good techniques, and some are just scams. However the real "secrets" are not secrets at all, they are mostly just plain old common sense. So what are the three non secret, secrets to success online? Read on to find out.

1. Take action:

If there is a main "secret" to achieving success with affiliate marketing, then it is to take action. No matter what method you follow if you don't take action then nothing will happen.

I have seen the following statement on many sales pages selling internet or affiliate marketing products, it goes something like this, "I have been asked; how can you reveal this secret? Wont all these people compete with you and ruin its effectiveness." The answer is always the same, and it is; I can sell this secret method because 98% of the people who buy it will do nothing with it, and a not insignificant number wont even read it.

This sad statistic is unfortunately very true. I have lost count of the number of people I have seen starting threads on forums, complaining that they cant make a sale with affiliate marketing, and when questioned it becomes obvious they just haven't taken action or maybe have started, and when the affiliate marketing secret strategy they were following brought no instant success, they just gave up. Which brings me to the second "secret."

2. Be Consistent:

By consistency I mean; once you do start to take action, then you must continue to take action even if instant results do not materialize. This can be the hardest part of your internet business, as it is difficult to ignore the disappointment if your affiliate account doesn't start to build up the profits. Just remember building a business takes time, it is very unlikely to work instantly.

3. Provide value:

Finally remember to provide value to your website visitors. To get your websites audience to visit your site, and importantly, want to come back again and again, it is important to provide value. Make sure the content on your site delivers what it promises, if you write a page entitled "how to stop your dog chewing your shoes", make sure it gives your visitor value, by value I mean that it tells them at least one method to stop this behavior. Even though your goal is to get the person viewing your page to click through to the offer that will get you your commission.
