Affiliates - Why Some Affiliates Fail Whilst Others Thrive
The life of an affiliate can be a lonely one. Affiliates who belong to communities generally tend to be more successful in business. Within a community they gain synergy and get the opportunity to learn from others. They also gain the platform from which they can add value to others. By adding value this in turn has a positive effect on the giver's self-esteem. Within a community business owners ultimately get the opportunity to mastermind with other like-minded people about the challenges in their business and gain insight as to how they best be overcome.
As a wise person once said, "Show me your associates and I'll show you your future". Never is this saying more true for the life of any entrepreneur. In the affiliate or network marketing space there are always others tempting you with what appears to be the next best thing. As part of a community with clear goals and direction you learn to shake off these distractions and stay on track with the real purpose. The people you connect with inside this community on a day-to-day basis have a profound effect on you and your business. Outside of communities you can if you are not diligent be surrounded by the naysayers who sap your drive and energy.
Initially as an internet marketer I became frustrated that I could not talk more to friends and family about my business. I now understand that there is more to be gained from masterminding with others within my community. Here I can discuss my challenges with those who understand and have the insight to offer valuable guidance.
Another passion of mine is horses and in some ways affiliates and network marketers are not so dissimilar in their needs. Horses are herd animals and feel safer if they have other horses to live with. It's better physically and emotionally for them to be part of a herd. This can be said about most affiliates and network marketers too. Yes we do like to work alone and live life on our terms but ultimately we have a longing to be part of something where we are accepted, valued and recognised.
