After Training, Should You Be Sore?
Sometimes people ask me about soreness and they say I'm getting sore is that a good
thing or I'm not getting sore is that a good thing? So I just thought to take a moment to explain what this is all about. You see, delayed onset muscle soreness that's what's it's all about it's called dumps. Basically, what happens is that your body telling you that you have gone through some muscle damage and you're going to reparation process, a super compensatory process but more so than that many of you have noticed that you might get sore the first time, the second time, the third time and then you stop getting sore but you keep getting stronger, what's the deal with that? You're still getting stronger why aren't you getting sore anymore? It's because soreness doesn't necessarily mean you had a good work out, what it means is you have reach an irregular amount of muscle damage. So, the first time you do it, it's irregular, I mean your body will say "What's going on? you did something to your body here and its damage tissue anyway that we haven't seen before, we haven't felt this before" and the second time is less the third time is less. Now, by the 4th or 5th time it's gonna eventually go away because your body knows this is a regular activity, we have plenty of time to recover, and so you could still get stronger and have a good work outs even if your not getting sore because really it's just your body telling you it's an irregular amount of muscle damage which you might Once your body is used to that it's okay you can still get stronger etc. So, what you gonna understand here is that delayed onset muscle soreness is not a signal that your training good or bad really. It's just a signal that the muscle damage that happens in your body is something that's new. So, hope that clarifies. If you have questions
please post it below and I will get to you.
