Agel Success - How to Tap Cold Markets With Agel
Agel Success - How to Tap Cold Markets With Agel
A Brief Review of Agel
Agel is a health and wellness company founded in 2005 by Greg Jensen. Jensen came up with the idea of providing a vitamin and health benefit to customers in the form of something new - a gel - instead of the old swallowable pills. The idea took off, and he helped create Suspension Gel Technology. The technology allows for better absorption into the digestive system, or so the company claims. Regular vitamins, they say, stay in the system too long and don't get properly absorbed for all of your health needs.
Agel has numerous product lines, including a personal care line (with facial gels, anti-aging gels, and the like), vitamin gels, topical gels, and a night time gel used for relaxation and sleep.
It's obvious that the products are unique and sellable. Herbalife created a booming business in the wellness industry in the 1980's, and now companies like Agel are following suit. But many MLM companies don't offer the unique approach (a gel) for vitamin absorption. This means that new business owners might have a leg up when selling the product.
A lot of people have succeeded with Agel, as evidenced by their success stories series on their website. But a lot of people (more, actually), have failed. And here's why.
The Warm Market
In network marketing, a warm market means your family and friends. A lot of newcomers in the industry start their careers off by trying to sell their acquaintances, neighbors, parents, kids, best friends, and congregation members on their product. They hold parties in their homes. They take products to the grocery store with them. They depend wholly on their location, and the town they live in.
But eventually, the warm market wears out. Your Rolodex is tapped, and there are no more people to introduce your product to, much less convert into your downline. What's a network marketer to do?
Issues With the Warm Market
Tapping into your warm market is something that many MLM companies, Agel included, encourage. They do this because it's the quickest way to convince you that you, and all of your friends, can succeed. And it works, because we can all think of a few people who love us and would want to support us no matter what.
But great success can't be achieved by tapping a warm market. Network marketers have got to go after what's called the "cold" market: people you don't know, haven't met, and maybe will never meet. It's done by using the vast power of the internet to get your cause out there.
It's important to learn the techniques to building an online business before you get started with a potentially lucrative opportunity like Agel. The techniques and tools are out there. You just have to start learning.
